Weekly Update

August 24, 2026
Front of Lincoln Middle School

Lincoln Families,

Beginning next week, our weekly school newsletter will be shared each Thursday rather than Monday. Sending it at the end of the week will allow us to provide families with timely updates, upcoming events, and important information to help everyone prepare for the week ahead.

We have one more week to prepare before our building begins to feel busier with the energy, laughter, and activity of a new school year. While the halls are still relatively quiet, our team is already hard at work getting classrooms, schedules, systems, and supports ready to welcome every scholar back to Lincoln Middle School. Below are some things we are looking forward to!
  • Teachers return next week for training and classroom preparation as we get ready to welcome our scholars for an exciting new school year.
  • Our Back-to-School Night is coming up on September 8; please see the details below.
  • Fall sports practices also kicked off today, and we are excited to see our student-athletes back in action.
  • Our office staff are connecting with our elementary-school partners to support a smooth transition for incoming sixth graders.
  • Our WEB Leaders—our eighth-grade student mentors—will be on campus next week for training as they prepare to welcome and guide their sixth-grade groups.

While the end of summer can feel bittersweet, we hope our students are just as excited as we are to begin a new year filled with opportunities for learning, growth, belonging, and connection. We cannot wait to see our scholars walking through our doors again soon!

With excitement,

Laura Clark
Principal

Registration & Transportation Support

We’re here to help make the start of the school year as smooth as possible for every family! If you need assistance with online registration, have questions about transportation, or would benefit from language interpretation, please join us in the Lincoln Middle School office on Monday, August 31, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

A representative from our Transportation Department will be available to help families with bus-related questions and support. Interpretation services will also be available so that all families can get the information they need.

Please do not feel that you need to wait until our Back-to-School BBQ Night for support. We encourage you to stop by on August 31 so we can help you feel prepared and ready for a successful start to the school year.

Registration & Back-to-School Night

In the past, our registration day and Back-to-School BBQ have been held on two separate days. This year, we are excited to combine these events into one evening to make the start of the school year a little easier and more convenient for families!

Our Back-to-School BBQ will be a great opportunity to connect with the Lincoln community before school starts. Families will be able to enjoy dinner together, pick up student schedules, meet teachers, ask questions, and take care of any registration fees that still need to be paid.

If possible, we encourage families to complete the district registration process and pay fees online ahead of time if that option becomes available. Taking care of these items before the BBQ will allow you to spend more of the evening visiting with teachers, meeting other families, and helping your student feel ready and excited for the first day of school.

We hope you will join us! This is a great opportunity for students and families to get comfortable with the building, meet some of the people who will be supporting your student this year, and start the school year feeling connected and prepared.
